Maintain a legacy PHP server with inspectable RPM builds
Use conventional PHP packages for an existing CentOS 6.10 32-bit installation, with the source and build materials available for review. The package set covers Apache 2.2 integration, CLI, CGI, FPM, OPcache and extensions using standard system paths.
The repository provides the original PHP source archive, security patches, RPM spec and scripts for rebuilding and isolated validation. It supports reviewing a package change, preparing a test clone and repeating checks for a legacy application.
PHP 5.6.40 security patch sources and credits
The patch stack combines the July 2026 Remi security baseline with the October PHP2Shell minimal backport and additional allocation, lifecycle and LDAP corrections. PHP, Remi Collet, Anton Barinov and other contributors retain their attribution and licenses.
Artem Loboda maintains the EL6 integration. His original contributions are available under MIT. The source-derived patches and other components keep their original license terms.
Verify signed RPMs and repeat the build
GitHub Releases provides 33 PHP binary RPMs, a source RPM, four archived dependencies and the matching source/build snapshots. The PHP packages use the maintainer release key. The external dependencies retain their original Remi signatures.
The archive checksums have an OpenPGP signature. The signing fingerprint is B07748530C39253A9E8520F56100DD2FE34B4B53. Rebuild instructions are included, while bit-for-bit reproducibility has not been established.
Recorded test results and compatibility
The supplied validation report records passing focused checks for Apache and FPM worker lifecycle, MySQL APIs, extensions and package transactions. Full regression suites retain failures, skips and warnings. The build report preserves those outcomes and their limits.
Session upload-progress callbacks are disabled, and hardened allocation failures can terminate a worker without normal cleanup. The packages use mysqlnd. Review the installation guide and rehearse the exact package transaction and rollback on a clone before changing an existing server.
